A good web design will capture the interest of the visitor and make them want to look around your site to learn more about you. A bad one can turn them off for good, which means they could have a negative response anytime they encounter your brand, even if they’ve never done business with you in the past.

Obviously, you want to make a good impression so you need to take steps to make sure your website measures up to consumer expectations and that it clearly represents your brand in a positive way. A good web design will follow the same branding guidelines and values that everything else you use to represent your company does. In other words, it will have the same company name, same logo, same colors and same messages you portray in every other aspect of your business. The text should be large enough to read easily and the design will make good use of white space, which will make it look more professional. Your website must also be easy to navigate and the pages must load quickly. No one is going to stick around if they’re having a hard time finding what they’re looking for or if it seems to takes forever for the pages to fully load.
